Latest draft.

Latest draft. All the new sections are highlighted in yellow. All told about 2500 words more than the last draft with some significant additions like the Factions, Chaos Index and Glittering Tower descriptions.  At this point I am probably going to only add a few minor things like a short box on nearby locales, some bestiary entries and maybe some hireling pre-gens from yesterday's list.  Special thanks to Robert Parker and Anthony Picaro for commentary and edits. Other special thanks to Michael Moscrip Humza Kazmi and trey causey for their help on the Chaos Index section at the end.

FYI for nostalgia, a compilation of hirelings in the campaign (still missing a few).

FYI for nostalgia, a compilation of hirelings in the campaign (still missing a few). I am going to cherry pick the best characters for pre-gens for North Texas and possibly the published Dunes product.

Hey Niners

Hey Niners, Looking for some potential crowdsourcing and feedback. Based on y'all's feedback I added a random event generator to the sandbox. Rather than do it as a straight table, I decided to go for a smaller, simpler version of the Chaos Index I have used behind the scenes in the campaign. So please check out the following text and tell me if you think it would work if say you had to run the Dunes yourself. Also my brain is a bit stuck on chart entries for each level of chaos. Any suggestions for kinds of Weird Events for each level?   Optional: Weird Event Index   The Dunes is a mythical wilderness infused with the Weird, a fever-dream logic that defies human ordering. But it also has its own rhythm dynamic, what follows is an optional event subsystem to model that kind of rising and falling chaos.  As the scenario open the Index is set to 1. At the beginning of each following session, the GM will roll a d4-1 to determine how much the Index has risen because of actions by t

So, I was reading the new "Notes from the Thursday Night Group"  from the Tekumel Foundation and was struck by a thought: what if the pylons that we've encountered a few times are like the pylons in Tekumel that are used to hold up the heavens?

OK, group, I have made another attempt at demon summoning rules and wish your output.

OK, group, I have made another attempt at demon summoning rules and wish your output. This may be a little complicated for a labyrinth lord type game (much more BRP style really). But let me know what you think. No more permanent CON loss... The Summoning Score Before you can summon a demon you must first determine your summoning score (this is your percentage chance to summon a lesser demon). To find your score, multiply your PSY score by 4 (PSYx4), then add your level, and then add the amount of temporary CON you will sacrifice as part of the summoning. The CON used in this way will regenerate at 1 point per every 24 hours. If a character chooses to sacrifice 8 points of CON (the holiest number of CHAOS) he receives four times the amount (32). For example, if you are a 1st level character with a PSY score of 13 and wish to use 2 points of CON, your Summoning Score will be  (13 x 4 = 52+1+2 = 55%) 55%. This means you can summon a lesser demon on 55% or less with a d100 roll. The Summo

Oh trusted members of the Nine, I seek your guidance.

Oh trusted members of the Nine, I seek your guidance. After Jeremy Duncan realized there were no summoning rules for my WARBAND! game, I have set out to rectify it. As it is only natural for Chaos in the grim dark future. Here are my first draft rules, without stats for the actual demons, please read them over and let me know what you think. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jr4UsPWnZC882B8x2Gk4-5eCRC0DbOkBOSmRN4PZDzQ/edit?usp=sharing

Evan Elkins are you still running games on Monday evenings?

Evan Elkins are you still running games on Monday evenings? I am almost to the point of running WARBAND! and looking for a night to run. I know Chris Kutalik has Tuesdays and Robert Parker seems to run Wed or Thu - and you have Fri and Mon? Running out of days if I want any of you guys to play. :)  Right now I am thinking Sun or Mon evenings after 9:30 (eastern) for 2 or so hours.
