Hey all. So I'm writing a google + mixtape post commemorating some of the great, long-running campaign on G+. Hill Cantons is at the top of my list. I'm collecting reflections and reminiscences from folks, game ephemera, session write ups and the like. I've followed Chris' blog from the beginning, and played with y'all in a late Hill Cantons phase for about 6 months, and read the Hydra Cooperative products. So I know a lot. But I still need your help to do this right. This is kind of hard one, because I know how much this game means to everyone who plays in, and how long it's been going. But I'm going to ask you try to say something about what this game has meant to you. Chris Kutalik here are some questions for you as the DM, feel free to answer none, some, or all, or totally different questions that you think of: (1) What were you trying to do with the campaign when you started it? so close to the horn, the awesome horn
ReplyDeleteand if we are in 10.08 now we could just cross country home to 18.14 and open up some of the map
ReplyDeleteis 18.11 the fort at the Y?
ReplyDeleteok, i will shut up now but from iron spire island it looks like you could longterm control alot of the shipping lanes
ReplyDelete18.11 is the Y.
ReplyDeleteso awesome
ReplyDeletei didn't realize the underwater city was so far east
ReplyDeletealso, what's Hakos?
ReplyDeletecole long it's one of the three Southlands petty kingdoms along with Tscho and Maarb.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't really realized how close the Feral Shore is to the Cantons proper. This helps a lot re: geography.
ReplyDeleteMy maps tend to be really small scale (2 mile hexes mostly), so ramping them up to 5 mile hexes really makes everything look a lot closer and denser.
ReplyDeleteI love these sorts of maps ...
ReplyDeleteI will add rivers, roads and some other sites of interest (both explored and not) probably tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteWhich direction is north? Straight up or slightly off?
ReplyDeleteSlightly off to the right.
ReplyDeleteCool. That's what I had figured to make both Corelands and Brazos fit with what we know of the big map.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is that I tried to have north be straight up but realized that I had drawn the entire HC coastline at a tilt so I just went ahead and drew the whole thing that way.
