Sorry gents, game called tonight for any number of non-fun reasons. Back in full force next week with some groovy new material I think y'all will dig. Also I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch the Thursday afternoon games for Sunday evening starting soon.

this seems pretty HC

The take from last week's game.

The take from last week's game. The party went back to the sealed off west side of the complex and took out the so-called Big Bad, "Roger". Poor Beehvo was incinerated but otherwise pretty successful. Critters killed: Roger the Demonspawn 2 Eld Swag acquired: Pile of coins, gold helmet, gold urn, Liberace staff (all worth 12000 gold suns and non magical). 7 enormous books covered in red hide Exp per player: 3100 (!)

A few followups from last session:

A few followups from last session: 1. Before the Decade King's galley sails off, Ba Chim will converse with the captain about the best way to sink a hostile galley; since the ships are based on a standard pattern, the knowledge should be on point. 2. After the group returns, Ba Chim offers to scribe a spider climb scroll from the group fund. The spell ought to let someone scale the Eld "grain silo" and bring a rope up for the rest of the group. (He would just go himself, but one arm is rough for climbing.) 3. Before sitting down to read the pile of red books from Roger's hoard, Ba Chim will cast a Detect Magic spell on them to check whether there are any potential traps or curses present. (And also detecting magic on the other items retrieved.) 4. At the domovillages, Ba Chim will sound out one of the domovoi on He Who Peers Behind the Rows and their feelings about him.

I just thought I should let y'all know that the reason I've missed so many games recently is because my schedule alternates between having a paper due on one week and having to wake up at 6:00 AM on Tuesday the weeks papers aren't due in order to meet my professor about the one that I just turned in.  What's worse is that several of the past weeks we've had to push the meeting back a week so that 1) I woke up at 6:00 when I didn't have to and 2) I have to wake up at 6:00 the next week too.  This means I usually feel like shit when I get home and want to sleep during HC time. I'm going to try to make it next week, because I really miss this game and I miss y'all, but we'll have to see.

Noting that Ba Chim has a broken arm which will heal on December 3rd.

Noting that Ba Chim has a broken arm which will heal on December 3rd.  (This sounds like a sign to maybe run a different character for a bit just because broken arms are tricky beasts for dungeoneering. That said, I may have BC go wereshark and attack the new galleys we've encountered, even one-handed. An attack below the waterline with 18 str doesn't make galleys happy.

Hey Chris Kutalik , I'd like to hire a Journeyman Spy (200 suns/month) for one month (initially) to infiltrate the Despot of Ma'arb's complex and gather information on it, particularly on overall security, and on the golden barge moored there.

Y'all know I hate canceling, but the kids are both running fevers and I feel like a jackass for not helping out.

Y'all know I hate canceling, but the kids are both running fevers and I feel like a jackass for not helping out. Sorry if that puts anyone out. Thursday afternoon game will definitely be going on and I will definitely run something next Tuesday (even if we need a wee break from this side of the campaign for a week or two).
