What Ba Chim's spy tells you about Il Tasi'in Il Tasi'in, a thick-walled town of 3000, is the seat of power for one of the the most isolated of the borderland satrapies of the Scarlet Sultanate. Located on the east coast just after the shoreline turns south, it is a bare 60 miles from the Xobi, the cold rocky southern desert in the Weird. The town which is dominated by the two raised quartz-dome hills called the Teats of Manat was formerly called Manawat and was deeply associated with the worship of that chthonic goddess (who is said to have ruled over fate itself and “sapped the self-will and value of Men”). The ruling satrap is like other borderlands satraps both a highly-positioned courtier and necromancer, an important role in the maintenance of the undead-worked plantation system (more about Industrial Necromancy in a blog post). Ul-Namihirra is generally considered to be a deeply incompetent in both his expected roles but survives politically by his ability to shift...
I will be there with my wife. She adventures and shops
ReplyDeleteI will be.
ReplyDeleteI will probably be.
ReplyDeleteI will be.
ReplyDeleteWe just booked our plane tickets.
ReplyDeleteYall coming in Thursday
ReplyDeleteWednesday. Give us a little time to chill out and recover from the flight before the madness begins.
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins Cool. Been thinking about flying down a day early myself to hit Six Flags (which is only a couple miles away from the hotel). Interested?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to drive again, leaving Tue evening, spend the night near Jackson MS and finish the drive Wed morning. Woot woot. Hope to get out of my room more this year and spend less money. : )
ReplyDeleteRobert Parker We get in Wednesday afternoon. When do things start on Thursday? We might be down.
ReplyDeleteBad ass! I'm going to be there pretty much for sure. Probably will run a game or two.
ReplyDeleteWe need a private game this year, much like our By This Axe last year but with more prep. Perhaps I can run T2K on Wed Night or Thu? Suggestions? WARBAND!
ReplyDeleteWarband!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWARBAND LARP!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteYes we should prep more beer and pretzels games.
ReplyDeleteI've considered bringing either A Distant Plain (Afghanistan) or Fire in the Lake (Vietnam) if we want to get our COIN war game action on. But then I might have to check a bag, which we don't want to do.
ReplyDeleteThey each support up to 4 players and I'll bring one if them if we definitely will play.
ReplyDeleteI would love to give either a try. But wouldn't want to force you to check a bag.
ReplyDeleteIf someone sprung for a larger room I could drag over a keg or two
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins oh definitely Fire in the Lake, way up on my wanna play list.
ReplyDeleteMike Davison to play them against human opponents, it might be worth it. Fortunately it's also the summer so the clothing takes up little space in the carry on.
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins then by all mean Vietnam is my choice too.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome, Dennis Higgins (as does WARBAND!, Mike Davison). I'll look at flights, but it would be fun to do roller coasters and the like.
ReplyDeleteI put in an official request to run Misty Isles on either Friday or Saturday night.
ReplyDeleteHope you all have a blast! I can't swing this every year. Only drivable for me if I was into meth.
ReplyDeleteComing to this belatedly: hey Dennis Higgins I'm going to be NTRPGing this year. I'd love, love, love to try out Fire in the Lake if you do manage to bring it.
ReplyDeleteYeah me too
ReplyDeleteYeah. I'll totally bring it.
ReplyDeleteI almost wonder if I need to bring a keg to ice in the bathtub
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's not Bud, I know where I'll be hanging out.
ReplyDeleteBy the end of the evening I wouldn't even care.
ReplyDeleteI never buy ambev stuff the goblins put their feet in it
