Niners,
So I'm looking to introduce a few more minor races to the Space Cantons and am thinking about "future" porting some creatures from the bestiary of the regular ole HC. Trying to stay away from the too cheesy and insufferable but a bit overwhelmed with possibilities. Any suggestions/requests?

    Inimical creatures are ok, they don't have to be human friendly.

    I think deodands lend themselves to multiple time periods. Also pelgranes.

    I can see deodands being interesting - enigmatic traders, who actually do sometimes have a seriously shiny bauble to offer. (Their ships would clearly be pelgrane-stylized, kind of like TNG Romulan warbirds). Focused on looting stuff from weird-space* before the Scouts find it and blow it up.

So with the random murder of the entire badgerman patrol plus plans to commit ethnic cleansing (again) now that negotiations have been utterly torpedoed, I'm starting to feel like we've shifted gears from being inspired by The Eyes of the Overworld to like King Leopold's Ghost or something. And while I can see the dark humor in the entire business, it's really not what I want to stay up late playing through.
