(Also that attack sounds like the Autarchs are going to be running false-flag operations to diminish popular support for the Decade-King. Sounds like the thing to do would be to reciprocate and run false-flag operations in "support" of the Autarchs - getting in their way, impeding  city life, and making it possible for Good Responsible Agents of the Decade-King to help loyal citizens.)

    Also - an autarch having an event in the undercity which a lot of other autarchs might be attending? If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

So with the random murder of the entire badgerman patrol plus plans to commit ethnic cleansing (again) now that negotiations have been utterly torpedoed, I'm starting to feel like we've shifted gears from being inspired by The Eyes of the Overworld to like King Leopold's Ghost or something. And while I can see the dark humor in the entire business, it's really not what I want to stay up late playing through.
